Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her mother was at home and was also a mom. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her brothers older than her. McCormick started dancing and singing from a young age, and would often perform plays with puppets for the kids in her community. Following her win in her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see if McCormick wanted to get into the world of entertainment. McCormick was offered her first major job when she was cast in the 1964 television commercial of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. The commercial was re-run in 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon she was given the main character in The Wind It Up and It breaks, a production at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, which was chosen out of 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the third of three head-to-head daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The five-year run of the show proved to be a huge successful one. McCormick stated in her book from 2008 Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice she almost losing her virginity in the fifth season to Barry Williams, her co-star as well as her on-screen brother. He was 19. She was 16. It could have been as she describes. But, the time for our relationship was not the right one.
